So I'm back from my recent trip to NYC {Editorial Stylist Workshop & Photo Shoot.. it was amazing} and I thought this was a perfect time to share my latest product obsessions as I picked up a few new things to try durning my travels!
So here are some new things I have tried and am obsessing about and also some things I have used forever that I want to spotlight on and share : )

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
Retails for $28 at www.benefitscosmetics.com/product/view/hoola
I am on this huge matte kick this summer! Go figure seeing my skin is the farthest away from matte! It's dewy to say the least! We always want what we don't have right? It's a little bit of a trend obsession but also a little bit of a mature age thing. I'm just past the point of having shimmery eyes and checks.
I have had a hard time finding a matte bronzer that i like! I had all but given up and was using a darker powder for contouring. Then we passed a benefits kiosk and i stopped to look and pick up some things i was lacking while traveling. I love love love this bronzer! I like a really dramatic contour so i always feel i have to put a ton on and go back and forth with my brush forever to get the desired look. Not with this bronzer! It's very pigmented! It's perfectly matte. I am in LOVE
It's a must try for sure!
Pro tip: use your own contour brush not this one it comes with.
As soon as the weather starts to warm here in freezing MN, my hair style preferences start to change. Instead of chic vintage curls that are perfectly polished I tend to lean to a more free spirited boho/beach/sexy wave feeling style. I have a bit of a wave in my hair but nothing great. I have been in search for a great "beach spray" for years. Even making my own. I had found ones i liked, but they were never perfect. When i was in new york the very talented Jon Reyman shared an awesome product mixing cocktail! Aveda's pure abundance hair potion AND style prep both applied to wet hair.
{ typically I use style prep in wet hair and hair potion on dry } These mixed together and applied on wet hair is LIFE changing! The perfect "Beach Spray" plus it gives you volume for that really touseled big sexy hair! AMAZING!
Both retail for $24 each and can be found at the Aveda salon near you or www.aveda.com

Yes! A two in one. Who doesn't love that? I have been in search for a nice yellow based concealer for my inner eyes that look weirdly bruised for quite some time and have hated everyone that i try! I also have been in search for that perfect eye shadow primer for my oily eye lids { I have issues! Just like everyone else! Let me tell you!} I was recommended this product from someone and I thought it's worth a try and I can't express to you enough how amazingly awesome it is!!! It's so full coverage but doesn't cake or feel to heavy. It's amazing. You have to try it!

Retails for around $10-$15

So just a little awesomeness in a jar. Thats all. I wasn't looking for a new clay or detox mask. I use one weekly to pull out the extra oils on my skin. I was sent a sample of this to try and I fell in love!! It not only is a great mask but an amazing spot treatment for breakouts as well! I can dab a dot of this on a blemish and the next morning its noticeably better. If your skin gets a bit oily in the summer, this is a great mask for you to try out!
- Its anti-inflammatory properties encourage a balanced and clearer complexion whilst the vitamins are useful in the control of sebum secretion
- Organic tomatoes contain lycopene, a potent antioxidant found in red fruits and vegetables
- Dead sea minerals from the worlds most ancient spa naturally exfoliate, detoxify and rejuvenate the skin
As always, I hope i helped!
